people say she’s crazy…

Aaaaand it’s Christmas! And I’ve been a very very naughty little blogger. I worked so hard on a clever little blog at Krista’s house a few nights ago, but her internet imploded on me and it all went to straight to hell (just like my mama sa-aid). Anyhow, school ended with very little pomp or circumstance. Turned in one halfway decent paper, one finished story, mumbled a brief french oral exam, and skipped quite smoothly through the shitty freshman english exam. Made it home, Christmas parties out the wazoo, lots of unnecessary food, one failure of a haircut and blowdry (ew ew ew, never going back there!), 2 midwesterners and 1 memphian have come and gone, sadly, Morgan is now in a little town called Asssssssspen, and I am still here till forever and forever, aka January 5. So at least I’ll have my birthday. Whee!

oooh, side note: I just saw a Publix commercial and cried. Oh wow. It was so nice… all of these people gathering for dinner, this little boy and his grandfather make a birdfeeder/christmas tree and it turns up covered in white doves lit up at sunset. ::sigh::

I am behaving exactly how I always behave when I’m home–stay up till 2 a.m. watching forensics shows on the Discovery Channel or TLC or A&E, then I get in bed and read till 4 or 5. It’s really not healthy, but the January Cosmo is really good, as is the BFG (still) and the first few chapters of What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. Today I bought Dan Chaon’s “Among the Missing” stories (including English 207 superstar “I Demand to Know Where You’re Taking Me”) and the first story is quite wonderful.

Well, I suppose I should go try to look somewhat respectable for this evening’s Christmas party ::sigh::. More blogging to be done later…
