I think there’s a Cat Stevens song called “Home” where he says, among other things, “home where you don’t have to wear clothes.” Though I have former hippie parents, things aren’t quite that free around here (not asking them to be!), but at least with the bro moving to CT (didn’t that stand for “cock tease” in high school?) I hold negligible responsibilities and can basically chill. And by chill, I mean do nothing interspersed with some laundry and dishes. Of course I haven’t done much READING yet, but when Kathleen leaves maybe I will be less inclined to socialize.
Also I have this thing where I keep talking about “this summer” like its over. Like I don’t have, oh, I dunno, 4 more weeks of it. But I guess now that I’m in Atlanta, the Evanston leg is over. It was… different. Definitely fun, definitely different. I learned many things. Mostly not related to Development (sorry co-workers). It closed on an excellent note with an excellent night and I learned an excellent thing: Definitely not the Chrysler Building. Maybe like… TBS. Certainly no Chrysler Building about it.
