Oh, the Interwebs on a Monday!
- From Jenna Fischer’s MySpace blog in which she very clearly describes the WGA strike in easy-to-understand terms: “Finally…I LOVE FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS! Â I’m not sure I can say it enough. Â And boy…Riggins. Â Riggins! Â The tortured soul! Â The bedroom eyes! Â Jesus! Â Let’s end the strike for Riggins!” Kara and I express similar sentiments with some regularity.
- A fellow Georgian just forwarded me this link. Good to know the state’s doing more than just creating fake snow at Stone Mountain to fix the record-breaking drought.
- Speaking of God, Howard Dean pissed off nearly everyone I went to high school with.
- Speaking of the undead, this happened at my collegiate alma mater last spring, and I stumbled upon it today. I kind of totally love it.
- From the brilliant minds of LolSecretz, we get this little man, making one of my favorite jokes.
- Marketing Consultant Jeffrey Kay is quoted in The New York Times as saying, “I think toilets are intimidating enough without them attacking you.“
- SNL aired this iPhone sketch, but not this one. I enjoy them both, thanks.
- I do not watch daytime talk shows, what with the 10-6ing and all, but the ladies of Jezebel.com do. And at the end of each week, they bring you The Lady Bunch. The most recent one was not so great… but check out last week’s. I will not have what Sherri’s having at Katz’s, thanks.

a) you should pay more attention to your homestate. There was an AP wire story about Sonny’s brilliant strategy last thursday or friday.
b) they stopped fake-snowing stone mountain the morning it started because the paper reported they were going to use, like, 50 billion gallons of water for it… whose brilliant idea that was i am not sure, but i do know that a lot of money was lost…
c) i always for a split second think that your jezebel links are to the craptastically bad ATL mag and I am always thankful that they aren’t
d) i’m in costa rica so i’m going now.

Bravo, Northwestern. So does this mean they make it into the Guinness Book of World Records? What about all those prisoners dancing to it? Do they not count because a) they weren’t all dancing to it exactly right, or b) they were forced to dance by their crazy warden?
Also, I love Friday Night Lights, too. Did you ever notice how the name “Riggins” is very close to the name of someone else you know? Coincidence? I think not. I believe they both come from the German root word “Rigg” which of course means “sexy man with bedroom eyes”. Hm. How about that?
In fact, look at telelvisionwithoutpity.com for the current FNL poll:
“Okay, let’s just get this out of the way. Who do you most want to make sexy time with?”
Guess who is in the lead.
