from this piece of excellence:
BARTLET [to Obama]: GET ANGRIER! Call them liars, because that’s what they are. Sarah Palin didn’t say “thanks but no thanks” to the Bridge to Nowhere. She just said “Thanks.” You were raised by a single mother on food stamps — where does a guy with eight houses who was legacied […]

I Got Life

Remember this? Well. Mom and Dad flew in today, and after a tasty dinner, we traipsed into the park and saw Hair. It was the second preview. I guess I should be a responsible member of the theatergoing public (ha, Public) and not say anything about it until it actually opens, so I won’t.
But let’s […]

It Happened on the 4/5

You know how I have some problems with the things people do on public transportation? Well, JC and I experienced a whole new world of annoyance today on our way to a delicious brunch at Sunburst. While I was busily trying to figure out if the woman sitting across from us on the uptown 4/5 was actually a man, the woman […]

I love Chicago, I really do, but this is one of those days where I am so pleased to be a Nouveau Yorker. Even though it is rainy and gray here and too cold to be at all pleasant, at least it doesn’t look like this:

Photo Followup: THE POLE IS NOT YOUR GIRLFRIEND
December 3rd, 2007 · 2 Comments
Saturday afternoon. 2/3 uptown train Christmas season. Cold outside. Coats, bags, hats, scarves, shopping bags, strollers, wall-to-wall bodies, and THIS dude has to hug the pole from Park Place to 42nd Street. For real. The girl on the right was about 5′2″ and had to hold up above the d-bag’s shoulder to avoid falling over. Sigh.

If you have not yet seen Flight of the Conchords on HBO, I suggest you get yourself some expensive cable and take in the brilliance of these two New Zealanders. If you, like me, have only seen some of Flight of the Conchords because you are subletting from people who do not have a […]

Yesterday, I gave Emily hell about not posting for a while, and in the process realized that I, too, am a bad blogger. So for an update on why I haven’t, please see Em’s post, because I can say the exact same thing, just replace “Ashley’s wedding” with “Molly and Chris’ engagement party,” and […]

Happy Belated New Year!Happy Belated Birthday to Me!
Yes, I realize other things happen in the first three weeks of a year, but let’s face it, these are the only two anyone talks about. Both were relatively quiet nights. One was rainier than the other.
And then I got a belated window office and am […]
